Hannah and Christine visit the Mixons

Baine opened his eyes and looked at me as if to say, "Who the @%&$ are you?!?!" We visited Abby, Sabata, and Baine today in their lovely new home...which, by the way, is quite lovely...an older homey home--many updates with lots of great character.(Abby is my niece...Sabata is her husband, and Baine is their brand new baby--just 10 days old.)

A sad story about a dog shot by an officer and the subsequent impact on his owner. As the story is concluding, the author says of the dog owner, "He plans to plant flowers and put up a marker in Kobe’s memory — and have the dog’s face tattooed on his leg." (emphasis mine)
